Honors preceptor named leader of Peace and Justice Center
Honors preceptor Stefano Tijerina will be the new leader of the Peace and Justice Center of Eastern Maine, after long time leader Ilze Petersons steps down later this month. Petersons, a social activist, served as the group’s leader for two decades.
Tijerina also teaches history and political science at UMaine and has been involved in local nonprofits since moving to Maine in 2001.
