Honors Student research featured on UMaine News
Honors and Political Science Student Ginger Kieffer was featured on UMaine News for her research on potato spuds. Kieffer, who was a fellow in the Honors College’s Sustainable Food Systems Research Collaborative, spent her summer in Presque Isle “extracting disease-infested plants from the potato fields, counting stems and collecting samples.”
She hopes to connect the knowledge she earned from potato research in her future with politics.
