Honors Students and Faculty win CLAS Research Awards

Congratulations to the 2014 winners of research awards from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

 

Seven of the thirteen CLAS Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Fellowships were awarded to Honors students:

Cameron Huston, Political Science, mentored by Robert Glover.

Nellie Kelly, Theater (SPA) and History major, mentored by Marcia Douglas.

Shayne Plourde, Mathematics, mentored by Andre Khalil.

Samuel Reynolds, Psychology, mentored by Alan Rosenwasser.

Julia Sell, Physics, mentored by Robert Lad.

Patric Skigen, Journalism, mentored by Jennifer E. Moore.

Bryer Sousa, Chemistry, mentored by Francois Amar.

 

Two Honors faculty also won awards:

Josh Roiland, from Honors and Communication and Journalism, won a Pre-tenure Research and Creative Activity Fellowship.

Stefano Tijerina, from Honors and History, won a Cultures and Languages Across the Curriculum Faculty Stipend.
