Honors College Hiring Temporary Administrative Specialist CL2

The Honors College is hiring a temporary Administrative Specialist CL2 to begin in early August. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the college. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist walk-ins, answering main office phone and emails involving a broad range of questions, issues, and requests from inside and outside of the university
  • Manages and maintains multiple complex databases, which include merging data to provide mailings and reports in support of Honors admissions and student record-keeping
  • Organizes and manages Summer Orientation (list of students, Honors Read book mailing)
  • Infosilem course scheduling and student registration
  • Manages Dean’s calendar, including complex meetings and issues which may require special attention
  • Schedules Honors College rooms including Honors Suite for classes, meetings, and events
  • Assists in organizing and managing events
  • Student Records management
  • Orders office supplies and course materials
  • Building manager (Colvin and Estabrooke)
  • Approves payroll for student employees
