My philosophy for teaching in Honors: I believe my precepts should be student centered. The goals I set for the precepts include presenting opportunities for the students to develop critical thinking skills, allow for the students to become engaged with the class material both through discussion and writing and development of those discussion and writing abilities. I attempt to create assignments that allow for engagement that reflects both understanding and relevancy of the material we are examining.

 

Research Interests: My research interests focus on questions of sustainability and sustainable foods systems.
