I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia where I did my undergraduate studies at Universidad
de Los Andes. I moved to the United States in 1998 and started working for the University of
Maine in 2002 serving low income and first-generation college students. I earned a M.S in
Human Development and a M.Ed. in Student Development in Higher Education both from the
University of Maine.
