Remembering the first Earth Day with Honors Dean François Amar

Honors Dean François Amar recently shared his experience at the first Earth Day in 1970 with the Office of Sustainability for their Spring newsletter. While demonstrations took place all over the country on that day, Dr. Amar was present in Philadelphia where the celebrations expanded into a full Earth Week, with speakers ranging from politicians to poets.
