Hey! My name is Thomas Beyer, and I’m from Guilford, Connecticut. I am a sophomore Microbiology major. In the future, I hope to become a researcher in the medical/human health field. I like to spend time with my friends, listen to music, play video games, and go to the gym. I am excited to be a part of the Honors Cup Planning Committee to make the Honors Cup experience as good as it can get, and to inspire first-year students to get involved in their community!

Hey! My name is Nevaeh Crockett, and I am from Windham, Maine! I am a sophomore double-majoring in Biology and Secondary Education. I hope to become a high school biology teacher. In my free time, I like to spend time with friends, be outside, go to clubs, and do crafts. Hi there, my name is Hayna Francis, and I am from Indian Island, Maine. I am currently a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering, where in the future I hope to become either an aerospace or automotive engineer. I love spending time outdoors, either hiking or being physically active, hanging out with friends and family, and having some quality time with myself. I am excited to be a part of the Honors Cup Planning Committee to strengthen a wonderful event and help you create some wonderful memories and friendships with your peers!

Hello! I’m Peter Greathouse, and I’m from the sweltering heat of San Antonio, Texas! I am currently a sophomore double-majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and am very excited to continue my education to a Master’s in the future. Outside of academics, I’m the VP of the campus Astronomy club (you should join!), I swim on our wonderful club team and assist with various committees! There’s so much to do around campus, and I’m excited to help you guys get acquainted with this new home.

Hey! My name is Kaedence Hood, and I am from Des Moines, Iowa. I am majoring in Biology as a sophomore to pursue my goal of going to Med School. I enjoy dancing as well as arts and crafts! I am a part of the Honors Cup Planning Committee in hopes of giving the incoming Honors classes an amazing start to their college experience.

Hey! I’m Alex Pelton, from Saco, Maine. I am majoring in Ecology and Environmental Science, with a concentration in Freshwater Ecosystems, and a minor in Entomology. I am also an artist and a Dungeons and Dragons player! I was a team captain for the first-ever Honors Cup– and I am so excited to share the competition with this year’s freshmen. You can catch me running meetings for the Black Bear Beekeepers (join me!), or at the Wade Center help desk if you’re looking to chat about anything from creative writing to crushing the competition!

Hi, my name is Amber Smilen, and I’m from Central New Jersey. I’m a Biology major in my junior year at the University of Maine, with a special interest in endangered species. In my free time, I like to listen to music, spend time with my pets (I have a lizard and a dog), and spend time with my friends. This past year, the Honors Cup was an amazing tournament, and I had a great time working with students and planning spectacular events. This year, the Honors Cup is bigger and better than ever. I look forward to working with the 2030 incoming class to grow as a team and win amazing prizes!
