Honors Living-Learning Community
Honors students have the option of living in one of our four residence halls that make up the Honors Living-Learning Community. There is no requirement for Honors students to live in Honors Housing, many choose to live in other residence halls for which they are eligible or choose to live off campus.
The Honors Living-Learning Community is made up of classrooms, study spaces, staff and faculty offices, and residences that create a shared space for Honors students to connect, learn, and thrive together.

Balentine Hall, arguably one of the most beautiful buildings on campus, was first occupied in 1914. Today it is part of Honors College housing, with room for 78 students. The first floor also holds a home-like student lounge and a sunny classroom, used for several Honors courses each semester.
Colvin Hall is a complete living-learning facility for Honors. The second and third floors host the smallest residence hall on campus, accommodating 36 students. The building also has two classrooms, faculty offices, a comfy reading room, as well as a multi-purpose room with a spacious student forum and a Visiting Scholars Suite which hosts distinguished academics from across the world.
Penobscot Hall offers typical double rooms, typically filled with first-year Honors students. For sophomores and upperclassmen in Honors, a limited number of single rooms are also available.
Stodder Hall houses Honors College juniors and seniors on the third floor. Stodder features mostly single rooms with a limited number of double rooms, as well as community kitchen and lounge areas.
