Bio:

I am an artist and creative educator with a practice rooted in creating connections, exploring the natural world and sharing stories. My work takes many forms that can range from painting and performance to gardening and design.  As a result, my practice is often found learning and collaborating across different fields of study.

Activating art in order to develop creative methods of community engagement and seeking opportunities for interdisciplinary exploration is the work that I am passionate about. My dissertation focused on these strategies and their application in the emergent practices found between art and science here in Maine. There are unique opportunities within interdisciplinary learning communities to develop connections and consider just how creative we dare to be!  Through my teaching practice, I think about creativity and its role in defining space, generating agency and identifying options.

Why do I teach in Honors?

I teach in Honors because it is an incredible environment to learn from many different perspectives and practice new ways of sharing ideas.
