The Honors College Student Success Workshop Series is a year-long program designed to proactively support students’ academic and student success. The series covers essential topics such as the transition from high school to university, registration guidance, and metacognition strategies.

The Honors Mindset: Transition from High School to University
This workshop is designed for incoming Honors students to bridge the gap between their previous academic experience and the demands of university. The session will explore the differences in expectations, workload, and necessary study habits. Students will be encouraged to develop a growth mindset and embrace intellectual curiosity.
This session is open to all students in the Honors College.

Warming Up To Registration
This session is designed to guide Honors students through the process of course selection and registration for next semester. The session will focus on learning how to build the wishlist (shopping cart), looking for courses and reading the degree progress report. Presenters will address the Honors College requirements (Honors Curriculum and Portfolio) and academic standing policies.
This session is open to all students in the Honors College.

Well-being for Honors Students
This workshop was developed in partnership with the Student Wellness Resource Center (SWell). The sessions are structured around the Eight Dimensions of Wellness to support students’ well-being as they transition from high school to university. Students will learn how an intentional balance of the wellness dimensions will help them make choices for a healthier lifestyle.
This session is open to all students in the Honors College.
