Maulian Dana Bio: Maulian Dana is the Tribal Ambassador for Penobscot Nation. She works to represent the Penobscot Nation and advocates for policy changes at local, state, and federal levels of government. She has an extensive background in activism in ending the use of Indian sports mascots and replacing Columbus Day with Indigenous People’s Day, both of which have become Maine state laws. She is the co-chair of the state’s Permanent Commission on the Status of Racial, Indigenous and Maine Tribal Populations; co-chair of the Maine Climate Council’s Equity Subcommittee; Board President for the Wabanaki Alliance; and serves on many other boards and organizations. She is the proud mother of two daughters.
