Honors Academic Advising and Student Success

Personal Growth, Academic Success, and Professional Vision.

The University of Maine’s Honors College advising program guides students to achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals. We use appreciative and proactive advising models and support our students by developing a collaborative approach to their academic experience.

Our advising model prioritizes holistic student success and cross-campus collaboration. Beyond our individual and group sessions, we partner with the other UMaine academic colleges, our Living Learning Community, and Student Affairs to ensure that Honors students have the academic and social support they need.

First and Second Year Honors students are highly encouraged to meet with the Coordinator of Academic Advising and Student Success at least one time per semester to discuss the Honors College curriculum, student academic success, registration, and additional opportunities. Advising meetings should be scheduled using Navigate, phone, or email.
